1. Find a news story about a science-based problem in the newspaper or an article from a reliable website.
2. Read the article and answer the following questions:
a) What is the topic of the article?
b) What is the problem, discovery, or event?
c) What is being decided?
d) Who are the people involved in making the decision?
e) What are all of the possible consequences of the decision?
f) What factors maybe influencing the decision?
g) What new questions are raised as a result of the discovery, situation, or research?
