Why Write In Science?

Learning to write prepares students for writing to learn.

       

Writing in Science:

        1.  Clarifies thinking.

        2.  Identifies what you do not know or misunderstand.

        3.  Allows greater detail for observations, manipulations

            and findings.

        4.  Allows better organization of thinking.

        5.  Sharpens interpretation and argument.

        6.  Allows for the discovery of new ideas.
